A business delegation from Japan’s Kansai region, led by Kansai’s Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association President Wada Sadao, is on a fact-finding tour of Vietnam.

While receiving the delegation on April 24, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Khiem expressed his hope that the Kansai region’s friendship association will actively cooperate with Vietnam in the future.

President Wada Sadao said his association is willing to raise the number of Vietnamese trainees working in Japan as Vietnam has an abundant supply of young workers.

He said that the association will continue to assist Vietnam and boost bilateral cooperation.

He also congratulated Vietnam on the successful launch of its first telecommunication satellite VINASAT-1 and said that as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Vietnam will be able to further contribute to the international community.
