Twenty teams of farmers from south-eastern and south-western regions attended a two-day competition at the Cultural Centre in Long An province on October 2-3.

This was the second competition held for farmers. The organising board awarded first prize to two teams from Long An and Binh Duong provinces, second prize to two teams from Soc Trang and Bac Lieu, and third prize to four teams from Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Tay Ninh.


In addition, the organising board also awarded other prizes to other teams which had the best introduction, knowledge, costume, and talent from Ca Mau, Can Tho, Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces respectively. Vo Van Tat the oldest from Tay Ninh and Nguyen Thi Nham the youngest from Ba Ria Vung Tau were also awarded.

Contestants showed their deep knowledge about animal husbandry, aquaculture, legal and social affairs and Vietnam’s integration into the world. They were eager to exchange experiences in promoting production and business, as well as building the

Vietnam Farmers Association effectively and boosting cooperation among farmers, managers, scientists and entrepreneurs.
