Japanese Consulate General Osamu Shiozaki in Ho Chi Minh City on April 12 handed over US$80,000 in aid to a health clinic in southern Soc Trang province.

The donation from the Japanese government will help the clinic purchase 23 types of advanced medical equipment, including ultrasound scanners, X-ray machines and cardiographs.

The move is expected to satisfy the needs for health check-ups and treatment of more than 45,000 local people.
