The Prime Minister has decided to allocate VND 48 billion from the 2006 State Budget to help northern provinces get over droughts’ consequences.

Beneficiaries will include localities such as Ha Tay, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Nam Dinh and Hai Phong.

The provinces are also recommended to reserve sufficient water for rice and subsidiary vegetables to deal with low rainfall in dry season.
