A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, led by Chairman Le Hoang Quan, concluded a three-day visit to Malaysia on March 18.

The delegation held meetings with Malaysian Tourism Minister Tengku Mansor and Transport Minister Chan Kong Choy.

The visit will help develop bilateral cooperation as HCM City and Malaysia have much potential for investment and trade, said the Tourism Minister.

Meanwhile, Transport Minister Chan Kong Choy told his guests that Malaysian Berjaya Corporation Berhad (BCB) will join a HCM City transport development project to improve the city’s transport network.

For his part, Chairman Quan hoped that Malaysian businesses will increase their investment in Vietnam in general and HCM City in particular. He noted that in the past two months, Malaysian tourists to Vietnam increased by 48 percent against the same period last year.
