Speaking at the event, Vu Duc Giang, general director of the Vietnam National Textiles and Garments Group (VINATEX), stressed that the contest does not only help to find many useful individuals for the country’s fashion industry, but also gives young designers a chance to test their skills, develop their career and exchange their experiences.
Launched in 1999 by VINATEXT, the VietNam Collection Grandprix has become one of the most important fashion design contests in Vietnam as it has discovered almost 70 designers who have made significant contributions to the development of the fashion industry in Vietnam over the past 10 years.
