Japan’s machinery producer Juki is showcasing its products and the latest sewing technology on an area of 2,000 sq m at the Vietnam Agriculture Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi from February 1-3.

On display are 30 types of industrial sewing machines, household sewing machines and some models of powered looms.

Two seminars are held during the event focusing on the development of the world’s textile sector, high-tech application and methods to improve product quality and raise productivity.

The fair, which has attracted thousands of visitors, is a good opportunity for Vietnamese textile and garment enterprises to seek partners and gain access to Japan’s sewing technology, said Vinexad, the organizer of the event.

A similar exhibition is being held in HCM City.

Although Juki trademarks appeared in Vietnam in early 1970s, the company officially entered the market in 1995 with the establishment of the Juki joint venture.
