The death toll from the flooding which has hit many province in the North, Northeast, East and Central provinces have risen to 107, official report says on November 3.

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported in the afternoon of November 3 said more than 5.9 million people have been affected by the disaster. Three more people had died on November 3 from the flooding, increasing the fatality toll to 107 from 104.

However, floodwaters had now receded in 19 provinces.

The department said torrential rains since November 1 caused by a depression in the Gulf of Thailand triggered flash floods in 10 southern provinces.
