State President Nguyen Minh Triet have sent a message of congratulations to Japanese Emperor Akihito over the 74th anniversary of his birthday and the country’s National Day, which falls on December 23.
On the same occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung cabled a congratulatory message to his Japanese counterpart, Yasuo Fukuda.
Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also extended a message of greetings to Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Masahiko Komura.
Meanwhile, President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Roh Moo Hyun on December 22 sent a message of congratulations on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the RoK and Vietnam (December 22).
The message was addressed to State President Nguyen Minh Triet.
