Twelve foreign-invested projects capitalized at US$17 billion have so far registered for a place in Bo Y international border gate's economic zone in the Central Highlands Kon Tum province.
The Global Investment Enterprise Corporation plans to invest US$3 billion in the construction of a five-star hotel, an international trade area, an industrial zone, a golf course and a power system. Meanwhile, a Taiwanese investment group has asked for permission to inject US$6 billion into an international airport.
To date, six projects worth US$27.18 million have been licensed to invest in the zone.
Established in 1999, Bo Y international border economic zone is expected to play an important part in boosting economic activities between Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
