Hercules Mach ready to flex at Asian champs
World champion Pham Van Mach will be representing Vietnam at the 47th Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in HCM City’s Phu Tho Gymnasium from August 27 to September 2.
He is aiming for his eighth title in the men’s 55kg category.
Mach also won world titles in 2000, 2009 and 2010.
Vietnam have set a target of finishing second in the medals table.
Over 200 athletes from 20 Asian countries and territories will compete at the tournament.
At last year’s event in China, Vietnam won three gold, five silver and six bronze medals.
