High on the agenda for the meeting are measures to reform and expand the operations of the committee to catch up with the modern trend.

The organisation also plans to focus on young people in an effort to contribute more to the national unity.

The Committee Presidium and Secretariat on February 27 approved a draft political report to be delivered at the upcoming congress, revised the committee’s statute and prepared personnel for the congress.

So far 39 committees for solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics have been set up at the provincial or municipal level nationwide.
