The attack happened inside the Talisayan Elementary School around noon where the student and an old man were killed, while a teacher and a number of other students were critically injured, the local media reported. The injured have been sent to the Brent Hospital.

ABS-CBN said the ex-convict was armed with a bolo and a small knife and is currently in police custody.
