Representatives from the Information and Education Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and seven border provinces on July 15 attended a conference on border demarcation with China.

Reports at the conference focused on reviewing communications work to ensure security, and social order in the border areas, national sovereignty and strengthen friendship, trade and economic cooperation with the Chinese people.

The participants also emphasized the importance of three documents namely the protocol on the demarcation, the agreement on border management and the agreement on border-gates and their management which came into effect on July 14.

Since Vietnam and China completed border demarcation in December 2008, Vietnam has run a variety of effective communications activities highlighting the significance of the demarcation.
