The northern mountain province of Son La has signed several deals with eight Lao provinces, says Cam Van Chinh, Deputy Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee.
The Lao provinces include Houaphanh, Luang Prabang, Bokeo, Oudomsay, Phongsaly, Luong Namtha, Sayabouly and Xieng Khouang.
Son La’s senior officials recently visited these provinces to examine the implementation of the signed agreements, draw up long-term joint initiatives and sign business contracts.
Son La which shares 250km of borderline with Houaphanh and Luang Prabang provinces has completed planting its border markers, along with Luang Prabang and is planting more with Houaphanh under a joint project.
