Representatives of nearly 100 Chinese businesses in Beijing and other localities flocked to the event with eagerness to learn about Vietnam’s investment conditions and relevant policies.

Vietnamese Ambassador to China, Tran Van Luat, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Planning and Investment briefed the participants on Vietnam’s current economic development, its trade ties with China and laws and policies on economic and investment promotion.

The seminar is part of the 2008 East Asia Forum convened in Beijing on May 11.
