Ho Chi Minh City is hosting a US business mission led by Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez from November 6-8.

In his speech given to 600 students of the HCM City Polytechnic University, Gutierrez said he and the US Ambassador to Vietnam have agreed to implement more programmes to increase study opportunities for Vietnamese students in US schools and vice versa.

He said an important factor in Vietnam’s impressive economic growth rates is the Government’s constant effort to improve the business environment.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the US Department of Commerce earlier held talks on the US’s anti-dumping policy on aquatic products and its supervisory mechanism imposed on Vietnamese textile and apparel imports.
