Thai cuisine, folk art demonstrations, music and folk dancing will be featured in a cultural charity event to be held in Hanoi on November 24.

Loy Krathong, a traditional Thai festival which takes place on the full moonlit night in the 12th month of the Thai lunar calendar, will be introduced to visitors. Flowers or lotus-shaped receptacles, which will be set adrift in the event, is to honour the Goddess of Water.

Net proceeds from the event will be donated to the National Fund for Vietnamese Children.
