A day filled with happy smiles in Mu Cang Chai

(VOV) -The Mid-Autumn Festival (or Tet Trung Thu in Vietnamese) is also known as Children's Day— one of the happiest for the mountainous children at La Pang Tan commune in the Mu Cang Chai district of Yen Bai Province.

A handcrafted five-pointed star-shaped lantern is one of the most meaningful festival gifts for the children.
It’s a very big gift to them.
That lights up their faces with smiles.
Children enjoy wearing funny masks.
Despite difficult lives, they still face life with glowing smiles
and innocent eyes.
Mischievous children pose in front of camera.
A little boy on the way home with a bounty of gifts.

When autumn comes, the rice fields become the children’s playground.
