The Saigontech College, the sole Vietnamese branch of the Houston Community College (HCC), Texas, the US, has offered 350 scholarships worth US$550,000 to high school students in the summer of 2007.

The grants, to be managed by the Vietnam Talent Training Foundation, include 50 full scholarships, each worth US$4.500, covering the fee for three years training at the Saigontech College and 100 partial scholarships, each worth US$2,500.

The Principle of the Saigontech College, Nguyen Van Sau said graduates from the college will receive Associate Applied Science (AAS) certificates, which have the same value as the certificates issued by the HCC in the US.
