Vietnam wants the Netherlands to share its experience in dealing with climate change and rising sea levels, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung while receiving out-going Dutch ambassador André Haspels in Hanoi on October 8.

PM Dung said he hopes that the Netherlands, with its experience in the field, will actively help Vietnam implement a flood-prevention project in Ho Chi Minh City.

He appreciated the ambassador’s contributions during his working term in Vietnam and expressed his happiness at the fine development of the cooperative ties between the two countries, particularly in the fields of economics, trade, investment and development aid.

The ambassador said that he will spare no effort to help strengthen the relationship between the two nations no matter what position he may hold in the future.
