The 7th International Fair for Automation, Measurement and Control (Automa Vietnam 2008) opened at the Giang Vo Exhibition and Fair Centre in Hanoi on September 27.

More than 20,000 products from nearly 100 domestic and foreign businesses are on display, including machinery, and equipment, security and management systems, robotics, electrical equipment, electronics, and measurement tools for laboratories.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Huu Hao said that the exhibition organized by the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA) will provide a chance for management agencies and lawmakers to learn about the real production and trading capabilities of automation products in Vietnam and other countries in the region. This is also a venue for domestic and foreign businesses to exchange experiences and technologies as well as other automation, measurement and control products.


Seminars on global automation development, and research and applications of automation technology in Vietnam, automation in cement production, hydroelectric and thermal power plants, and robotics will also take place alongside various other trade promotion activities.
