Canadian hostage killed by Philippines militant group
The militant group Abu Sayyaf in the southern part of the Philippines killed a Canadian hostage after its ransom demand was not met, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The group demanded a ransom of PHP600 million (over US$13 million) for Robert Hall and gave a deadline of 3:00 pm on June 13.
Earlier, on April 25, this terrorist group killed another Canadian citizen named John Risdell for the same reason.The aforesaid hostages were taken by the group from a resort on Samal island on September 21, 2015.
The Philippine police said they are verifying the information.
