Vietnam Airlines will significantly increase the frequency of its domestic flights during peak periods from June to August, announced the Vietnam Airlines Corporation.

The firm will launch one more flight from HCM City to Da Nang and vice versa from June 1, and four more flights per week between Hanoi and Hue, HCM City and Hue from July 1, 2006. All these flights will be conducted at night with Airbus 320/21s and will involve the maximum employment of the agency’s current aircrews.

Vietnam Airlines will also add three more flights to the Buon Ma Thuot – HCM City route, and therefore raise the total number of flights on this route to 10 per week with ATR 72s. In addition, the national carrier is researching the launch of a direct flight between Buon Ma Thuot and Hanoi in winter this year.
