Thuy Vi represents Vietnam at Miss Asia Pacific Int’l 2018

VOV.VN - Huynh Thuy Vi will compete at the Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 in Manila, the Philippines from September 15 to October 4.

The 25-year-old girl is 1.65 meters tall, weighs 49kg and measures 84-60-89. She works in the banking industry. In 2014 she won the Miss Can Tho title and in 2016 she progressed to the final round of the Miss Vietnam pageant.

Thuy Vi is currently taking catwalk and communication training to prepare for the pageant.

Pham Kim Dung, a representative of the contest’s license holders in Vietnam, said the unit highly appreciated Thuy Vi’s beauty, talent, communication skills, and her ability to adapt to the global beauty contest, they believe Thuy Vi will secure a good result for Vietnam.

Miss Asia Pacific International was first held in 1968 under the name Miss Asia Quest. In 1985, the pageant changed its name to Miss Asia Pacific Quest, to include beauties from Asia, Pacific, and America. In 2005, it rebranded yet again, becoming Miss Asia Pacific International and opened up to contestants from all over the world.

Vietnamese representatives have achieved some landmarks in the pageant. Truong Tung Lan finished in the top 15 of Miss Asia Pacific International 2011. Hoang Thu Thao was in the top 6 of the pageant in 2016.

In 2017 Vuong Thanh Tuyen came second in the Darling of the Press, and evening gown sessions.
