A delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training led by Nguyen Phuc Khanh, Head of the Department of Science and Technology is on a visit to France from November 28- December 4.

They aim to share their experience and seek out opportunities for cooperation in management, teaching and scientific research with several French universities and their partners.

Earlier on November 29, the delegation visited Cachan Teachers’ University, one of the biggest of France’s 86 universities which has maintained links in tertiary and post graduate education with Vietnam since 1985.

In April 2010, Cachan and the Material Science Institute under the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology signed a cooperation agreement for the 2010-2015 period.

Around 30 Vietnamese students and post graduates are studying subjects of physics and construction at the university.

During their visit, the Vietnamese delegation also met with various research institutes and the French Ministry of Education and Research to discuss ways of promoting inter-sector cooperation between Vietnamese and French universities, expanding tertiary and postgraduate training, especially the training of Doctorate and MA degree holders.
