YAKULT Vietnam Co. Ltd. started construction of a yogurt factory in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone on March 14.

The US$26-million factory is expected to produce 30 million yogurt bottles per year for domestic use and export after it is put into operation in March 2008.

Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Zone has attracted 280 Vietnamese and foreign investment projects with total registered capital of US$1.6 billion. 190 of these projects are now operational.
