Hue will host an international conference titled ”Alliance for Healthy Cities” (AFHC) that will be attended by more than 60 delegates from Vietnam and foreign countries next July. The municipal People’s Committee has said.

Hue is the one of the cities striking to protect and enhance the health of city dwellers.

Phan Trong Vinh, head of the city People’s Committee, said the

event is an opportunity to boost Hue’s imagine in Asia and develop its tourism services,

At the conference, other Vietnamese cities would also join the association in the near future, he added.

Vietnam is a member of the AFHC, which groups many cities and organisations in Australia, Cambodia, China, Japan, Malaysia and other countries.

The AFHC is committed to promoting to cope with the effects of urbanization on health.
