The Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau has launched a US$4 million project to improve local health care services in the 2006-2011 period.

The project is sourced from the official development assistance, including funding from the World Bank's International Development Association, the Japanese Government’s non-refundable aid and the province's budget.

The five-year project aims to improve the quality of disease prevention and treatment for local people and provide them with better access to high-quality health care service.
