The exhibition, which was co-organised by Singaporean exhibition services company and an exhibition services company of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attracted around 230 companies from 27 countries and territories.
In addition to familiar exhibitors such as Delcam, Euromac, Hardinge, Fagor, Finn-power, Makino, Mori Seiki, Mitutoyo, Pinnacle, Seco Tools, the event attracted new companies like Knuth from Germany, Mitsui Busan Machine from Japan, Mecshot Blasting Equipment from India, Jagular Industry, Anderson and Goodway machine from Taiwan and Durametal, Miracon, Inetest, Microcast, Optus and Itamec from Singapore.
At the opening ceremony, Stephen Tan, general director of the Singaporean Exhibition Services Company spoke highly of the rapid development of the Vietnamese mechanical engineering sector, which gives the country a big advantage in attracting foreign investors to expand production.
Mr Tan expressed his belief that the exhibition will create good opportunities for Vietnamese industries to access latest technologies in the field.
The exhibition will run until September 6.
