The European Children's Film Festival will take place in Hanoi from May 17-24 and HCM City from May 21-31, screening 12 films from Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic and the UK.

The festival, part of activities to mark Europe Day (May 9), will be co-organized by the European Commission in Vietnam, Embassies of EU-member countries in Vietnam, European cultural institutes and the Vietnam Cinematography Department.

 

The film festival aims to entertain, educate and inspire children of all ages. With an exciting lineup of twelve films from different European countries reflecting the particular characteristics of their various country of origin, the festival offers young audiences a good choice of some of the best European animated and feature films.

 

The event is a firmly established favourite in Vietnam's cinematic calendar, and provides a unique opportunity to discover European cultures in an entertaining way, thus building a cultural bridge between Europe and Vietnam.
