Vietnam secures first gold at University Games

Truong Thanh Nhan won the first gold medal for Vietnam at the ongoing ASEAN University Games in Singapore on July 14.

High jumper Nhan scored 2.13m in the men’s category at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium.

In table tennis, the women’s team lost to Singapore 0-3 in their fourth group round match.

In pencak silat, Nguyen Van Tri entered the final match of the men’s class, beating Firdhana Wahyu Putra of Indonesia in the semi-finals.
