Vietnam and Laos have agreed to facilitate cross-border transport and trade with a view to boosting trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

An agreement to this effect was inked by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Sinh Hung and his Lao counterpart Somsavath Lengsavad in Hanoi on September 14.

Earlier, the two Deputy PMs adopted measures to enhance cooperation in investment, trade and other potential fields such as hydro-electricity, mining and industrial crop plantation.
