More than 3,000 ethnic households in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have enjoyed better lives thanks to growing rubber trees for local State-owned enterprises.

A recent survey showed that each worker in the Vietnam Rubber Corporation's affiliated companies such as Chupah, Chuprong, Chu Se and Mang Yang can earn an average income of more than VND1 million per month. They are also provided with social and medical insurance, and labour safety facilities.

These companies have also poured investment into upgrading and building roads and electricity systems, schools and clinics for ethnic workers. Over the past three years, the Chupah Rubber Company has given VND3-5 million to each underprivileged household to upgrade their houses.
