The round is considered a very important step in Vietnam’s WTO negotiation process and is hoped to be the last barrier to the country’s admission to the organisation.

The 13th round of multilateral negotiations on Vietnam’s entry to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) officially opens on July 19 at the Geneva-based WTO headquarters in Switzerland.

The round is considered a very important step in Vietnam’s WTO negotiation process and is hoped to be the last barrier to the country’s admission to the organisation.

The round will focus on reviewing the results of Vietnam’s previous bilateral negotiations, progress in the law-making process, and preparations for its admission to the WTO.
