The plant has a design capacity to produce 21 MW of electricity a day and is expected to produce on average 80 million kWh per year.

Construction work at a total investment capital of VND510 billion is scheduled for completion in 2012. Once in operation the plant will not only supply power to the national grid but also help to regulate water sources, improve the environment and the standard of living for ethnic minority people in the mountain areas of Dakrong district, one of the 61 poorest districts nationwide.
