The National Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and Information and the National Heritage Board of the Singapore Ministry of Information, Communications and Arts signed in Hanoi on April 9 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cultural heritage co-operation between the two countries in the second phase (2007-2012).

The MoU emphasized that in the next five years, the two sides will boost cultural heritage co-operation by organizing exchanges and exhibitions and exchanging experience in preserving and improving cultural knowledge. To mark 35-year anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Singapore in 2008, the National Heritage Board will introduce Vietnamese heritages at Singaporean museums.

Head of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Department, Dang Van Bai said Vietnam always attaches importance to preserving and developing cultural heritages as well as expanding cultural exchanges with many countries in the world. The country has also created favourable conditions for Singapore to introduce its culture to Vietnamese people.
