Vietnam’s top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, is competing in the Hong Kong Super Series, which opened on November 11.
The Vietnamese Olympian first met world No.7 Kurniawan Tedjono of Indonesia.
Minh is seeded No 7 at the tournament, which carries a total cash prize of US$250,000.
He has to make it into the quarter-finals to maintain a spot in the world top 10.
