Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has sent a letter of congratulations to the Afro-Asian Peoples’ Solidarity Organisation (AAPSO) on its 50th anniversary.

In his letter to the International Conference held in Egypt on the occasion, PM Dung highlighted the organisation’s unceasing contributions to the solidarity of people in Asia and Africa in their struggle for national liberation and for construction and defence of independent and free nations.

He wished the AAPSO further contribute to the solidarity movements of the Asian and African people for legitimate national interests and aspirations.

The government leader also thanked the AAPSO for supporting for Vietnam’s past struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as its present process of renewal and construction.

The AAPSO International Conference and celebrations were held in Cairo from February 26-28.
