The All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) should promote their traditional friendship and cooperation through further exchange of delegations, said ACFTU President Wang Zhaoguo.

Wang Zhaoguo, who is also Politburo member of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress warmly received the VGCL Permanent Vice President Dang Ngoc Tung and his party in Beijing on September 22.

The two sides exchanged views on recent socio-economic development in the two countries and on the activities of the two trade union organisations.

Mr Wang said that the two sides should promote regular exchange of delegations to share experiences and improve the capacity of trade unions in their multi-sector economies, better protecting workers' rights and interests.

The same day, VGCL permanent vice president Tung worked with two ACFTU vice presidents, Sun Chunlan, and Xu Zhenhuang.
