Leaders from the Party, State, National Assembly, Government and Vietnam Fatherland Front on May 17 paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi to mark his 117th birthday (May 19).

Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee President Pham The Duyet were among those present at the ceremony.


The same day, Mr Manh burnt incense and laid wreaths in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien commune in Nam Dan district of central Nghe An province, where the late President was born.
