Vu Thu Tra, a female Vietnamese student, has graduated from Polytechnic University in New York with two excellent degrees respectively in civil engineering (bachelor) and financial engineering (masters). She scored 3.9 points out of 4.0 for the former and 4.0 out of 4.0 for the latter.
The 22-year-old girl also received a prize for the most outstanding female student of the civil engineering department and a prize for the female student with the highest points among graduates of the department this year.
Thu Tra, who was born in northern Ninh Binh province, will go on to take a two-year doctoral course while working as a trainee staff member in a consultancy company that participates in the construction of the new Tower complex to replace the Twin Towers in New York.
