Four outstanding athletes from HCM City will compete at the Open Badminton Tournament in the Philippines from March 1-5 after they finish their matches for the qualifying round of the Thomas Cup in India.
They include Nguyen Tien Minh, Nguyen Quang Minh, Tran Thanh Hai and Le Ngoc Nguyen Nhung.
According to the HCM City Badminton Federation, the tournament will provide Vietnamese athletes with a good chance to gain experience in preparation for the 5th National Sports Festival 2006.
The tournament in the Philippines expects to attract the participation of all talented sportspeople in the region, as well as outstanding players from the US.
