More than 6,000 visitors attended the international bazaar held by the United Nations Women’s Association in Geneva, Switzerland on November 22 to raise funds for children under difficult circumstances in the world.

The Vietnam delegation mission to the UN and the World Trade Organisation and other international organizations introduced different items of handicraft and silk garment products, nem (spring rolls), bun (vermicelli) and pho (noodle soup).

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, head of the Vietnamese mission to Geneva, who is the wife of Vietnamese ambassador Vu Dung said this was a good opportunity for Vietnam to enhance Vietnam’s image to international friends.

The UN Women’s Association in Geneva said that all the proceeds from last year’s fair were used to help children under difficult circumstances in 45 nations across the world, including Vietnam.

The international bazaar has been held annually by the UN Women’s Association in Geneva.
