Vietnam is keen to cooperate with China to build infrastructure and transport systems for future economic cooperation zones.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan expressed the wish at a reception in Hanoi on Sept. 9 for Governor of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ma Biao, who is in Vietnam to attend the third conference of the joint working committee between Guangxi and Vietnam’s border provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang and Quang Ninh.

Deputy PM Nhan said Vietnam has plans to build the Dong Dang-Pingxiang and Mong Cai-Dongxing economic cooperation zones.

He expressed his joy that the Guangxi delegation to Vietnam includes many Chinese businesses which plan to sign cooperation contracts with Vietnamese partners.

The Vietnamese official said that boosting cooperation between Vietnamese border provinces and Guangxi would actively contribute to increasing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Ma agreed with Deputy PM Nhan’s plans to boost cooperation between Vietnamese border provinces and Guangxi, especially in building border economic cooperation zones and a transport system to connect Guangxi with Vietnamese provinces, and developing local tourism and education sectors.
