State President Truong Tan Sang on September 20 sent condolences to his Indian counterpart, Pratibha Devisingh Patil over great losses caused by a recent earthquake in north-eastern India.
The 6.9 magnitude quake on September 18 killed over 50 people and injured hundreds of others.
The same day, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh also sent a message of sympathy to Indian Foreign Minister S. M. Krishna.
