Vietnam Airlines cancels 20 HCM City-Thanh Hoa flights
(VOV) -The national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has announced the cancellation of 20 flights between HCM City and the northern province of Thanh Hoa from March 5-11 due to adverse weather conditions and technical difficulties.
Le Dinh Thang, head of the Thanh Hoa branch of Vietnam Airlines confirmed more than 2,000 passengers may be affected by the inconvenience, and partially attributed the cancellation to incomplete facilities at Tho Xuan airport.
By way of compensation, Vietnam Airlines will increase flights on HCM City- Hanoi and HCM City-Vinh routes and arrange other flights for passengers, he elaborated.
Since the Lunar New Year (Tet), Vietnam Airlines has been forced to cancel nearly 50% of its flights to Thanh Hoa, resulting in huge losses and poor customer satisfaction.
