Party chief meets Mexican PT national coordinator
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has expressed hope for effective implementation of cooperation agreements and increased information and experience exchange with the Mexican Labour Party (PT).
He met in Hanoi on May 5 with visiting PT National Coordinator Alberto Anaya Gutierrez, who will attend the forthcoming celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.
Valuing the partnership between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the PT over the years, Trong said he hopes their friendship and solidarity will become stronger in the future.He congratulated the PT on the success of the international conference themed “Parties and a new society”, while speaking highly of its contribution to achievements shared by the left-wing forces in Latin America.
Anaya, who is also a congressman and President of the Mexico-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarian Group, emphasised the significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory to the people across the world, including Mexicans.
