The Vietnamese Embassy held a meeting in France on October 26 with Vietnamese individuals and organisations actively involved in the “Study and work following Uncle Ho’s example” campaign.

Vietnamese envoy Cao Chinh Thien said that two years after the campaign was launched it has attracted a large number of Vietnamese officials, youths and students as well as overseas Vietnamese in France. In addition to researching, collecting documents and joining contests on President Ho Chi Minh and homeland, individuals and organizations have done the utmost to help strengthen political, economic, trade and cultural ties with France for the prosperity of the homeland.

A lot of practical activities have been organised, including teaching Vietnamese language, raising funds for poor fellow countrymen, flood victims, Agent Orange victims and disabled children.

On the occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Le Kinh Tai presented certificates of merit and Uncle Ho badges to 25 individuals and organizations, including the Vietnamese Residents’ Association in Bordeaux and the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Toulouse.
