Park Soo Kwan and Koo Cha-Yol have been appointed as Vietnam’s honorary general consuls in the Republic of Korea (RoK) for Pusan city and Kyongnam province, and Incheon and Kyonggi province, respectively.

The appointment ceremony was held in the RoK on January 15 in the presence of Ambassador Pham Tien Van who presented consular credentials to both diplomats.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr Van congratulated the two new general consuls on their new positions and affirmed that the appointment is in the Vietnamese Government’s recognition of their contributions to Vietnam-RoK relations over the past few years. He also expressed his hope that the two diplomats would make greater contributions to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The two new general consuls said that they would do their best to foster the international friendship. Park Soo Kwan and Koo Cha-Yol are prestigious entrepreneurs who take part in many social activities in the RoK.
